This year’s focus was on presenting RTM’s latest mobile solutions for security services - and what an unbelievable success it was!

Apart from introducing release 2 of our successful “GuardTek Inspector”” PDA-based field inspection system (v1 having been introduced a year earlier at ASIS 2007), the realtime guard tour system “ActiveGuard” took the cake, by far. People were standing three rows deep at our booth to see it. ActiveGuard lets supervisors monitor guard tours AS THEY ARE OCCURRING!
They can literally watch how security officers are moving from checkpoint to checkpoint, and tour reports are automatically distributed via email the instant the tours are concluded. No more waiting hours or days to find out if inspections were complete!

RTM demonstrated the system by letting visitors do live guard & fire prevention “tours” on their own with the interactive tour wand, and by letting them watch their progress on Internet-connected laptops.
The reaction was extraordinary: Visitors had never seen anything like this before, and most of them could very quickly see the value of having a live “window” into their guard tours. Both security service contractors and corporations with proprietary security services alike took great interest in ActiveGuard, and a substantial number of units were handed out to high profile prospects for evaluation.
Of those, 90% have already lead (Jan ’08) to active implementations of the system.
