There are 4 ways to protect Security Officers, or people working in sensible environment with the ActiveGuard system:

Deliberate Alarm

At any time, the Officer can press the device's "PANIC" button. An emergency message is displayed in real-time on the screen in the control room while being transmitted at the same time by email & text messaging to designated recipients.

Automated Alarm

During a tour:

  • Based on the overall duration of a tour: the supervisor specifies the maximum duration of a tour in the system. When that time is exceeded, a Panic message is displayed on the screen and is also sent by email and text message to alert designated recipients.

  • Based on the time between any 2 tour tags:the supervisor specifies the maximum amount of time an officer can take between any two tour tags on a round. When that time is exceeded, a Panic message is displayed on the screen and is also sent by email and text message to alert designated recipients.
Activeguard Panic

At a post:

A PTI tag ("stay awake tag") is attached to a specific location. The supervisor defines the maximum time the ActiveGuard device can be inactive without reading a tag (e.g., 30 minutes), after which an alert is automatically sent out to the recipients of your choice by email and/or SMS text message.

The advantage of this technology is that the information does not reside on the equipment. The alarm is established on the online platform (contrary to the classic GSM system's where, if the information cannot be transmitted, no one is aware of the Panic situation).
